On the Five Rivers Cycle Route to Amberg
The Five Rivers Cycle Route, one of the most beautiful cycle routes in Bavaria, meanders along the idyllic rivers Danube, Altmühl, Pegnitz, Vils and Naab. This route leads through the picturesque landscape of the limestone mountains of the Franconian Alb and Bavarian Jura, past medieval towns that enchant with their Bavarian cosiness.
About the Five Rivers Cycle Route
With a length of 300 kilometres, the Five Rivers Cycle Route offers a wonderful cycle tour through Bavaria's nature and history. The route is divided into five stages, from Regensburg via Kelheim to Neumarkt, from Neumarkt to Nuremberg, on to Amberg and finally back to Regensburg. For particularly sporty cyclists, the route can also be completed in just four days, with the stages being between 31 and 75 kilometres long. Thanks to its low gradient route, the cycle path is suitable for cyclists of all levels. In addition, shortcuts and variants offer the opportunity to create individual tours of different lengths.
