Renovation

Preserving the old. Creating new from it. Reusing building materials, preserving substance. While renovating, we used natural building materials and sustainable techniques such as ecological insulating plaster for the interior and exterior or we manually cleared bricks from old plaster remains and reused them.

Breakfast

We specifically decided to not offer an excessive breakfast buffet. We will rather serve you a breakfast tailored to your personal wishes at your table. You would like some more? Anytime.

Menu

Reasonable offers, seasonal ingredients. We use what is in season.

Room cleaning

We use eco-friendly water vacuums to clean our rooms.

Care products

Our natural and eco-friendly care products are a house-made product of the workshops of the Lebenshilfe in Nuremberg.

Short delivery routes

Due to partners and suppliers from the region, we benefit from short delivery routes and thus save carbon dioxide.

Energy concept at the Bootshaus

We use district heat from a central generating plant to heat all our buildings and support this with our own heat recovery system. Thanks to their historic, thick brick walls and a special ecological insulating plaster, our buildings are so well insulated that we only need air conditioners in our attic rooms. In our building, a load management system guarantees an economical and intelligent use of energy.

For climate friendly mobility, we offer a wall box for electric cars in front of our building and in our bicycle room we have a charging cabinet with 12 charging spots for e-bike batteries.

Nature protection at the Bootshaus

In harmony with nature. We take action for our beautiful nature in front of our door. For example, we managed to keep our old willow tree at the seawall in place during the entire renovation phase. Moreover, in coordination with the regional association for bird protection, we had them mount incubators for kingfishers in the seawalls and for scarce swiftlets under the roof. The stork's nest on our roof was already inhabited in the second year after opening.
